The Silver Eye began in 2009. It is an action-adventure webcomic of the Fantasy persuasion, written from a Christian worldview.

Two rival royal families are engaged in a conflict spanning centuries.

Young king Apen, broken from the strife, sacrificed himself and his country in the hopes of preventing yet another war. After living in exile in a far-off land, Apen is horrified to learn his act of altruism only served to give a malevolent conqueror the power needed to subjugate the continent.

Enel was raised in an orphanage and is desperate for any answers about his family. One day their paths intersect when Apen attacks Enel without provocation. Apen seems to know more about Enel than he lets on.

Apen may be the key for Enel to find what kin he has left, and Enel may be the key for Apen to save their homelands, but if they’re to succeed, they’ll have to overcome a history of bad blood that has torn the world apart.

Art

Many of the older pages were made in Gimp, which is a free program I’d still recommend!

Current pages are either drawn in Clip Studio Paint (speech bubbles + layouts are always CSP) with a Wacom Cintiq, or on an iPad Pro with Procreate.

Comment Policy

Guideline: It is advised that comments relate to The Silver Eye in some way. *Does not apply to comment parties. Break YouTube links so that Disqus does not embed the video in the comment section. Do not post large images (They shouldn’t be more than 600 pixels in either direction).

Rules: No swearing. Keep comments consistent with the maturity level of what’s in the comic itself. If you recommend another work that contains content that isn’t for all-ages, and/or content that isn’t Christian-friendly, then include a disclaimer with it. If you want to have a discussion on sensitive or controversial topics, you are welcome take it to a different site. Ultimately this website is here for people to enjoy the story, and if content negatively impacts that experience, then it may be removed. If there is a comment you think goes against the policy, you can flag it so that it can be assessed by a moderator.

Reasons a comment may need moderation: It was too lengthy, it’s in all-caps, it has too many repeated letters (like from typing a scream), it contains cursing or hot-button topics, it has an image that was detected as spam, or somebody flagged it. Sometimes comments get stuck in moderation, so please be patient!

*What is a comment party? Occasionally a date is chosen when a lot of readers will get online at the same time and the comment section temporarily transforms into something like a giant chat room. Comments do not need to relate to The Silver Eye at these times, though the other comment policies still apply
